On the site, you can find a variety of useful information about the gliding squadron including important dates and events, and there are even a few photos for all to see!

Glide with the best of the best!

MEL Trophy 1991.  Racal Trophy 2000.  For sustained improvement in performance.

Breitling Trophy 2003 and 2005.    For the greatest contribution to youth development over the previous 2 years.

Sir Arthur Marshall Trophy 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2007.  Best squadron operating winch-launched gliders.

British Aerospace Trophy 2002, 2004.  Top squadron overall.

                                                 

Well, maybe not the Top Gun Trophy or an astronaut yet, but if you are aged 16 or over you can train to be a glider pilot!

Look at the information about Gliding Scholarship courses. If you are aged over 15½ now is the time to complete an application form and get your name on the waiting list.
